Tour del Sol Southern Triple Crown Series
The Southern Triple Crown Series is an extension of the Tour del Sol, a Florida-based Disc Golf tour. The STC will start in Florida in March, but then visit Austin TX in May before finishing in Charlotte NC in June. While the STC will showcase three indivdual premiere Amateur-only tournaments, there is also a chance for players in one city to compete against the other cities via the Player Performance Contest where one lucky guy and girl will win an 18-month sponsorship deal from Sun King Disc Sports and other STC sponsors!
In addition to the Player Performance Contest, the STC events promise to be packed with good times. From the overstuffed players package to the incredible CTPs, trophies and players party, the STC events are poised to be some of the most talked about tournaments of the year. Sun King, along with the other series sponsors, will be working hard all year to show why we've earned a great reputation for running events throughout the previous 10 years.

Tournament Schedule - Amateur
Friday June 15th - Early Tournament Check-In @ Elon Park 1pm-7pm. Bring Your Own Partner Doubles @ Elon - 1pm-5:00pm Flex Start. Fee is $10 per player and each player receives a special tournament disc valued at $15. The winning team at each course wins a Sun King voucher!
Saturday June 16th - Late Tournament Check-In @ 8:00am. 1st Round Tee Time @ 9:30am. 2nd Round Tee Time TBD. Zach Deputy Concert/Players Party - Visulite Theater @ 9:00pm .
Sunday June 17th - 3rd Round Tee Time Players Meeting @ 9:00am, Tee Time @ 9:30am. 9-Hole Finals Showcase (MA1 & FA1*) after 3rd round @ Plantation Ruins @ Winget (Awards to follow)

Players Performance Contest
The PPC is a revolutionary way to allow competitors at one STC event to compete against competitors at the other STC events without having to travel. The contest is part PDGA Global event and part USDGC Performance Edition scoring. The contest awards an 18-month multi-company sponsorship deal to the male and female player whose tournament rated rounds average ranks highest above their natural PDGA player rating at the time of the event. Players have the option of traveling to play other STC events to submit additional rounds. The companies involved and total value will change as more sponsors firm up committments.
To be eligible, players must be a current PDGA member with a minimum of (12) rounds played at PDGA-sanctioned events or (4) PDGA events played in the previous calendar year. Winners must also meet additional eligibility requirements outlined in the sponsorship contract.

Trophies by Division
All events on the Southern Triple Crown are "trophy only" which means instead of a payout for 50% of the field, 100% of the players receive an overvalued players package, which in this case is well over $100. Trophies will then be awarded to the top finishers in each division based on the quantitiy of participants in each division. The breakdown is listed below.
