Thanksgiving Throw Down: A Charity Disc Golf Tournament for A Place for Hope

Organization Information: A Place for Hope, Inc. is a non-profit organization that operates a Community Learning Center in York County.  Our mission is to change the futures of at-risk youth by providing educational support, life-skills training and diverse cultural experiences.  

Event Date: November 30, 2013

Event Location: Boyd Hill-Rock Hill, SC

Divisions: Intermediate, Advanced, Pro

Event Schedule:

  • Early Registration: 10/21-11/29, $25.00 
  • Day of Registration: 9:00am at Boyd Hill, $30.00
  • Player's Meeting: 9:00am
  • T-time: 9:30am
  • *One hour break for lunch after the completion of the first round
The first 20 people who register will receive a player's pack from INNOVA DISC GOLF.  The winners of the Intermediate and Advanced divisions will receive a prize package furnished by the event sponsors.  The winner of the Pro division will receive 75% of the registration fees collected for the Pro division and a prize package.  Contents of the player's packs and prize packages will be announced soon.  

There will be a raffle drawing at the end of the tournament.  Raffle tickets are $1.00.  You do not have to play in the tournament to purchase a raffle ticket.  The winner of the raffle drawing will win a single stone, sterling silver wire wrap custom designed by Carey Walter of Earth Bound Treasures.  This prize has a value of up to $125.  Tickets can be purchased in advance or the day of the tournament.  For more information email Porsche at
